Guest House: Harris's Guest House
About Harris's Guest House...
"A Home from Home..."
"With Smiles and 10+ Service..."
One of the older established accommodations on St Helena (December 1999) Irene and Donald Harris have been welcoming intrepid travellers to the island for nearly 2 decades now. Perhaps the best barometer of their warm welcome and attentive service is the ease with which their guests become friends - a trend they pride themselves on.
A reasonably priced alternative to Jamestown hotels, Harris's
guest house is located right in the heart of Jamestown. Room rates are per person per room per night and include breakfast. Also, lunch and dinner can be provided on request. Harris's cooking is a favourite with locals. And they often cater for groups of between 8 and 16 people on special occasions. "Many thanks for a memorable birthday night" wrote one happy customer. "The food, the atmosphere & the hospitality were excellent. Will come again!!"
Their menu boasts 16 main course choices accompanied by a possible 8 vegetable dishes and 18 desert options. Donald is a talented chef and does all the cooking.
Centrally located on Main Street, guests have quick and easy access to Jamestown's quaint shops, eateries and bars. Also, nearby are a number of attractions including the historic water front, fascinating St Helena Museum and heart-pounding Jacob's ladder.
The St Helena Tourism office is a font of knowledge about all things St Helena and is a short walk under the light pastel Georgian townhouses which typify Jamestown's authentic old world charm.
